Investors and Exporters Service Center of Lubuskie Voivodeship (COIE) is a part of Department for Regional Development and International Cooperation. The project aims at increasing the level of competitiveness of the Lubuskie companies by facilitating the access of entrepreneurs and their associations to free, high-quality, complex information services that are essential to planning, organizing and starting exporting and/or investing abroad and also to increase the level of foreign investment in Poland by facilitating the access of potential foreign investors to information on regulations on starting a business in Poland and support instruments for the development of entrepreneurship including investment incentives.

Wielkopolska is located in west-central Poland, with the territory of 30 000 square kilometers it is the second biggest region in Poland. The population of Wielkopolska is 3,4 million people. The location of Wielkopolska enabled to create convenient domestic and international transport connections. Across the region runs highway A2 which connects Warsaw and Berlin whereas in Ponzan, the capital city of the region, there is an international airport Ławica (POZ) which serves almost 1.5 mln passengers annually. Due to the good infrastructure, well educated people and highly developed scientific resources it is a region favourable for investments. In Wielkopolska there are multiple universities which educate qualified employees. In Poznan, one of the biggest academic centres in the country, its premises has 38 universities, among them: Adam Mickiewicz University, with more than 43 thousands of students, Poznań University of Technology, University of Economics, Poznań University of Life Sciences and University of Medical Sciences. In the whole region there are almost 143 thousands of students. Except for Poznan the universities are in Gniezno, Jarocin, Kalisz, Konin, Leszno and Pila. Additionally Wielkopolska has strong financial sector, secure financial investment policy and developed services which also have a good influence for the investment environment. Wielkopolska strongly emphasizes cooperation of science and research centres with business. Entrepreneurship, long trade traditions and attractive business environment are the regions strong points. Wielkopolska is a land of people with passion, a tolerant place where the talent meets the technology. It’s a place open for new investments. The government of the region takes up number of actions in order to maximize competitiveness of enterprises by promoting establishment and development of innovative companies, technologies and commercialization of scientific research. Moreover, Wielkopolska has set its own economic and social priorities of so-called intelligent spacializations - fields which thanks to the support of science and its business potential can generate products and services as well as compete at international markets.
